retrospective
    A meeting that occurs at the end of a sprint (iteration of development) in which the team evaluates the way they worked with the intent of making improvements in the upcoming sprint. retry (n)
retrospective application
    retrospective conversion
      retrospective data analysis
        A modeling process that is designed to understand past trends or events. a common problem in data analysis or data mining is that the objective is to predict future events based on past events, but that data are all based on past events. a common solution is to cross-validate the analysis by using sampling, "hold one out" or bootstrap analyses. each of these techniques attempts to provide "new" data by only using part of the database by only using part of the data to form the data and then using the remainder to validate the model. see also: cross-validation, bootstrapping.
      retrospective study
      1. A backward-looking review of the characterics of a group of individuals in relation to morbidity, embracing some aspects of cross-sectional and/or case control studies.

      retrospective work order
        A type of ellipse work order. created for work that has already been performed, usually because it was needed either to repair faulty assets or to prevent a fault occurring.
