- A recess in a wall, usually to contain sculpture or an urn; often semicircular in plan, surmounted by a half dome. nicked-bit finish a stone surface having parallel, raised projections of various sizes and spacing formed by an irregularly notched planer blade.

- A specific market or area of interest consisting of a small group of highly-passionate people.
- A specific subset of a broader category. for example, if the broad category is “marketing,” a niche category would be “inbound marketing for mining companies.”
