Confined space
|
- Any enclosed or partially enclosed space that is not intended or designed primarily as a workplace. it may (but need not) have restricted means of entry and exit, an atmosphere with potentially harmful contaminants, an unsafe level of oxygen or stored substances that may cause engulfment. it is a space of any volume as defined by as 2865 standard for safe working in a confined space.
- An area that is large enough and also configured so a person can bodily enter and perform assigned work but which has limited or restricted means for entry or exit and is not designed for continuous human occupancy.
