Distortion, английский

Intensity, light level, light output, английский
    The "strength" of the incident light independent of subject reflectivity, commonly measured in foot candles or lux. high levels allow for increased depth of field (not always desirable) or faster shutter speeds (stills or high-speed filming). optimum levels are what one strives for. realistic levels are what one settles for.


Magic hour, английский
    That supremely beautiful time of day (dusk or dawn) when almost everyone would shoot almost everything, if only it lasted longer. tip: use little or no fill, underexpose 1 or 2 stops, "drop" the 85 filter if you like blue or need more exposure.
