Bond beam

    A horizontal reinforced concrete beam used to strengthen a masonry wall so as to avoid its cracking; the reinforcement often extends around the perimeter of the wall. bond-beam block a hollow concrete masonry unit with portions depressed to form a continuous channel in which reinforcing steel can be bond-beam block 123 bolts,1 bolt blank, screw blank a bolt having a fixed head, but no threads or nuts; intended for a subsequent threading operation.
