Chrominance, английский
- A color term defining the hue and saturation of a color. does not refer to brightness.
- The color information of a color video signal.
- Color part of the composite video signal. also called c. separately transmitted in y/c (s-video). it is the combination of the two color difference signals (u or r-y) and (v or b-y) modulated on to a subcarrier. see also yuv.
- The color information of a color video signal. -to-luminance intermodulatlon (crosstalk, cross-modulation)an undesirable change in luminance amplitude caused by superimposition of some chrominance information on the luminance signal. appears in a tv picture as unwarranted brightness variations caused by changes in color saturation levels.
