- The 4.43 mhz (pal) or 3.59 mhz (ntsc) signal that is used as a carrier for the color information. this subcarrier is modulated in amplitude by the color saturation and in phase by the color hue. a sample of the unmodulated subcarrier is placed before the start of each horizontal line, and is called the color burst.
- Signal which is transmitted along with the main video signal carrier. s can transmit data, color picture information or audio.
