Upsetting, английский
- The hot-forging operation by which the cross-sectional area of a metal bar or rod is increased locally.
- Working metal so that the cross-sectional area of a portion or all of the stock is increased.
Casing, английский
- The tire body, composed of plies which form the tire's structure and give it shape. sometimes called the carcass.
- Wood trim molding installed around a door or window opening.

- In the drilling industry, many sections of pipe that line the hole during and after drilling of a water, gas or oil well. see also oil country tubular goods.
- A steel pipe that’s placed in an oil or gas well after drilling is completed to prevent the well hole from caving in. casing also prevents fluids from moving from one formation (like groundwater) to another and helps in well control.
