    Lattice, английский
    1. An open framework of criss-crossed wood or metal strips that form regular, patterned spaces.

    2. A lattice is a partially ordered set which has a least upper bound and greatest lower bound for all pairs of elements in the set. one implication is that conjunction and disjunction are well defined on any finite subset of the lattice, as the subset`s least upper bound and greatest lower bound, respectively. the lattice is complete if every subset has both a greatest lower bound and a least upper bound (which is always true for a finite set). a complete lattice always has a unit and a zero. see also: partially ordered set, sublattice. lauritzen-spiegelhalter architecture a method for propagating data through a join tree presentation of a belief net. it is slightly less general than the shaefer-shenoy architecture, in that it requires that continuers exist for the tree.

    3. The regular periodic arrangement of atoms or molecules in a crystal of semiconductor material.

    4. A regular arrangement of points and lines with or without arrows connecting them directly or indirectly, a graph systematicaly constructed by a rule. e.g., the edges and corners of crystals, the entailment structure of all expressions that can be formed by the union anp intersection of a finite number of sets (boolean lattice).

    5. A structure that passes handwriting recognition results to tablet pc platform libraries.

    6. In crystallography, a regular periodic arrangement of atoms in three-dimensional space.

    7. The regular periodic arrangement of atoms or molecules in a crystal of

    8. The repetitive three-dimensional arrangement of atoms in a solid.

    9. Lattice work is decorative woodwork with a woven interlocking design.
