Stagger, английский
- The relative longitudinal position of the wings on a biplane. positive stagger is when the upper wing's leading edge is in advance of that of the lower wing [eg: waco yks], and vice versa for negative stagger [eg: beechcraft d17].
- A ship is said to stagger when she carries as much canvas as she can bear and rolls heavily.
- In ole, the length of the contact wire from the centre line of the track. the wire is staggered from side to side of this line, within fixed limits, to even out wear on the pantographs of trains.
