- A place designated by name in the working timetable or by special instruction, including (a) a monorail station (whether or not on railway land), and (b) any other station on railway land, at which a train may stop or enter, or leave the running line, and may include a goods shed, depot, siding (c) any place (other than a light rail stop) designated for the picking up and setting down of passengers on a railway.
