Admonitions, reprimands, and cautions

Морской словарь
These are non-punitive disciplinary actions that highlight minor wrongdoings, the only difference being degree of censure. a reprimand is the more severe and a caution the least. records of admonitions and reprimands can be filed and later used to justify more serious measures, such as non-judicial punishment, demotion, or dismissal. cautions, however, are more informal and do not form part of the individual’s record. see also captain’s mast, non-judicial punishment, nonpunitive disciplinary action, and uniform code of military justice.
