Wireless network

  1. A computer network which uses radio transmitters (usually) to move information between computers without the need for physical cables. see- wi-fi.

  2. A network that uses radio frequencies (instead of wires or cables) to transmit data between devices.

  3. A telecommunications network that transmits messages to and from equipment that is not directly connected to any wiring. alternatively, the term might refer to a network that has some fiber-optic interconnections, but whose customers have access to mobile wireless service.
