Cache cluster

The instantiation of the distributed cache service, made up of one or more instances of the cache host service working together to store and distribute data. data is stored in memory to minimize response times for data requests. this clustering technology differs from windows clustering.

Cache, английский
  1. In a processing unit, a high-speed buffer storage that is continually updated to contain recently accessed contents of main storage. its purpose is to reduce access time. a holding area for data within the cd-rom drive itself or on its interface board, that allows the system a method for matching data transfer rates and presentation speed requirements.

  2. A hidden reservoir of provision (to secure it from bears) in arctic travel. also, a deposit of despatches, &c.

  3. Is memory used to speed memory access, that stores data that is anticipated to be used next or was just used and may be used again. for example: cache may exist on slow physically rotating discs to save information of data that is near to the data just accessed or to hold data without writing it to disc until it is likely not to change again. card - a circuit board which can be plugged into your computer motherboard.

  6. A technology that temporarily stores web content, such as images, to reduce future page loading times.

  7. The version of a webpage that is stored and indexed by a search engine. it’s possible to look at the cached version of a webpage, which might differ from the live page.

Cache data path;, русский

Cache file, английский
A file used by dns servers and clients to store responses to dns queries. for windows dns servers, the cache file is named cache.dns by default.

Cache hierarchy, английский
A network of cache proxies that have sibling and parent relationships.

Cache hit, английский

  2. The condition that exists when a client requests content and the cache server determines that the content is both stored in the cache and up to date. when there is a cache hit, the content is streamed from the cache to the client.

Cache interval, английский
The length of time that a stored copy of the views that are shown in a dashboard can exist on the server.

Cache invalidation, английский
The process of flagging an object in the cache so that it will no longer be used by any cache clients. this occurs when an object remains in cache longer than the cache time-out value (when it expires).

Cache item, английский
An object that is stored in the cache and additional information associated with that object, such as tags and version. it can be extracted from the cache cluster using the getcacheitem client api.

Cache line, английский

  2. The smallest unit of memory than can be transferred between the main memory and the cache.

Cache loader, английский
A component used by the cachemanager object to load data into a cache dictionary object. although this component is implemented as a pipeline component, it is not run in the context of a pipeline. cache memory (mb/month) (pn)

Instantiation, английский
When an attribute or a relation is assigned a value, it is said to be instantiated.

Distributed, английский

  3. Сотри t i ng en v i ronmen t распределенные вычисления

  4. New treasury issues in dealers` hands are said to be distributed.

Distribute, английский

  4. In the business store and education store, to get apps and other digital goods into the hands of employees or students.

  5. To allocate among locations or facilities, as in a data-processing function that is performed by a collection of computers and other devices linked together by a network.

  6. To move three or more objects so that there is an equal amount of space between them.

Clustering, английский
  1. The tendency e.g. of laser-active ions in laser gain media to form clusters in their host medium

  3. Clustering is a technique used in data mining, online analytical processing (olap), and similar activities to group observations. a clustering procedure attempts to identify and extract "similar" groups of observations from a data set. unlike classification procedures, the number and memberships in the groups are not known a priori. the observations are grouped on the same set of attributes as is used to assess their homogeneity. in contrast, classification and regression techniques use one group of variables to obtain homogeneity on a second set. the clustering process can either be agglomerative, where each record starts as its own cluster and is merged with other clusters, or divisive, where all the data starts in a single large cluster and is gradually broken down into smaller, more homogeneous clusters. while the clustering is often of interest in its own right, it can also be used to pick out interesting subgroups for further analysis. the clusters can be disjoint, so that each observation falls in one and only one cluster, hierarchical, where the higher level clusters are further split into sub-clusters recursively, or overlapping, so that an individual data point can have membership into more than one cluster. see also: classification procedures, data mining, knowledge discovery in databases, regression.

  4. A data mining technique that analyzes data to group records together according to their location within the multidimensional attribute space.

  5. The grouping of multiple servers in a way that allows them to appear to be a single unit to client computers on a network. clustering is a means of increasing network capacity, providing live backup in case one of the servers fails, and improving data security.

(technology must not be confused with the very infrastructure it generates). technology has autocatalytic properties. it favores the use of technical devices and processes even in solving social problems, e.g., by using fertilizers to enhance agricultural production rather than a different form of work organization, by using computers for national planning rather than decentralized decision making processes.

  8. The practical application of knowledge to achieve particular tasks that employs both technical artefacts (hardware, equipment) and (social) information (‘software’, know-how for production and use of artefacts). supply push aims at developing specifi c technologies through support for research, development and demonstration. demand pull is the practice of creating market and other incentives to induce the introduction of particular sets of technologies (e.g., low-carbon technologies through carbon pricing) or single technologies (e.g., through technology-specifi c feed-in tariffs).
