A relative measure of flammability that is determined as follows. a sample is ignited in an oxygen/nitrogen atmosphere. the oxygen content is adjusted until the minimum required to sustain steady burning is found. the higher the value, the lower the flammability.

Flammability, английский
- A material’s ability to burn or support combustion.
- Возгораемость, воспламеняемость
- Measurement of a fabric’s performance when exposed to specific sources of ignition.
- Измерение характеристик ткани при воздействии определенных источников воспламенения.
- Воспламеняемость мате-
- Tendency to combust, considered to be characteristic of liquids having flash point below 60 °c (140 °f) and a vapor pressure not exceeding 275 kpa (40 lbf/in.2) at 37.8 °c (100 °f). glossary f-h 743

Atmosphere, английский
- The envelope of gases that surround a planet`s surface held by the planet`s gravity. over the earth, the atmosphere is divided into several layers based on their properties. the most common layer designations are
- Атмосфера
- The ambient air, or thin elastic fluid which surrounds the globe, and gradually diminishing in gravity rises to an unknown height, yet by gravitation partakes of all its motions.
- [1] the envelope of air surrounding the globe. [2] a unit of pressure equal to 76 centimeters (29.9 inches) of mercury, or 1033.2 grams/sq. centimeter (2116.3 pounds/sq. foot). (cf. hydrosphere, lithosphere.)

Abnormal crimp, английский
A relative term for crimp that is either too low or too high in frequency and/or amplitude or that has been put into the fiber with improper angular characteristics.
Acid recovery, английский
A reclamation process in chemical processing in which acid is extracted from a raw material, by-product, or waste product. in the manufacture of cellulose acetate, acetic acid is a major by-product. acid recovery consists of combining all wash water containing appreciable acetic acid and concentrating it to obtain glacial acetic acid.
