Permeable [rock]

Глоссарий по геотермальной энергии
The ability of a rock to permit the passage of fluids without rupture or displacement of pores (tcd, 1899). the antonym is impermeable. an impermeable rock is sometimes informally called “dry rock.”

Permeabilis [e], латинский

Permeabilite a l`eau, французский

Permeability, английский
  1. Perméabilité

  2. The ease with which a fluid flows through a porous material (wood) in response to pressure.

  3. A measure of the ease with which water penetrates a material.

  4. The relationship of flow per unit area to differential pressure across a filter medium.

  5. (of a membrane) the ability to allow some substances to pass through

  6. Проницаемость о ~ to heat теплопроницаемость ~ of soil проницаемость грунта air ~ воздухопроницаемость

  7. The state or quality of being penetrable by fluids or gases.

  8. The specific permeability, k (in m? ) is often referred to simply as

  9. The capacity of a solid substance (such as rock) to transmit a fluid. the degree of permeability depends on the number, size, and shape of the pores and/or fractures in the rock and their interconnections. it is measured by the time it takes a fluid of standard viscosity to move a given distance. the unit of permeability is the darcy.

  10. The capacity of a porous rock to transmit fluids.

  11. A measure of a material’s ability to align its magnetic domains in response to an applied magnetic field.

  12. A measure of the ease with which a fluid flows through the connecting pore spaces of rock or cement. the unit of measurement is the millidarcy.

Permeability, английский

Permeability (mt), английский
  1. The ease with which a magnetic field or flux can be set up in a magnetic circuit. it is not a constant value for a given material but is a ratio. at any given value of magnetizing force, permeability is b/h the ratio of flux density, b, to magnetizing force h.

  2. The ease with which a material can become magnetized. it is the relationship between field strength and the magnetizing force.

Permeability coefficient, английский

Permeability creation, английский
The action of various engineering techniques to create fluid pathways within rock, such as fracture enhancement or creation by hydraulic pressure or imposed temperature differential.

Permeability of vacuum, английский

Permeability pathway, английский

Permeability resistance ratio, английский
    Coefficient de perméabilité

Permeability resistance ratio, английский

Permeability test, английский
  1. A test to determine movement through concrete of water under pressure.

  2. A procedure usually followed to determine the watertightness of the foundation and abutment rocks, as one phase of foundation test drilling done before the construction of dams. the test is performed by placing packer assemblies in diamond-drill holes to segregate each successive different stratum or each 5-foot depth, and water is injected into the borehole space between the packers with a high-pressure pump. the volume of water escaping into the rocks is a measure of the permeability, indicating the amount of water that will seep through the foundation or abutment of the dam and whether or not the dam foundation should be grouted.

Permeable, английский
    Проницаемый

Permeable bed identification, английский
    Выделение проницаемых пластов

Permeable membrane, английский
A membrane which allows some substances to pass through it

Permeable rock, английский
A porous rock formation in which the individual pore spaces are connected, allowing fluids to flow through the formation.

Permeable sewer, английский
Фильтрующий канализационной коллектор (применяют для отведения ливневых вод я очищенных оточных вод) particulate matter твердые примеси (твердые частицы, неоднородно распределенные в воде)

Permeameter, английский
  1. An apparatus which measures the permeability, 2 of soils and other similar materials.

  2. Фильтрационный прибор

Permeance, английский
  1. A measure of a material’s resistance to water-vapor transmission, expressed in perms. equal to the ratio of (a) the rate of water vapor transmission through a material or assembly between its two parallel surfaces to (b) the vapor pressure differential between the surfaces.

  2. Проводимость; относительная проницаемость

Permeance., английский

Displacement, английский
  1. Перемещение

  2. Водоизмещение

  3. The weight of water displaced by the immersed volume of a ship`s hull, exactly equivalent to the weight of the whole ship.

  4. The weight, in tons of 2,240 pounds, of the vessel and its contents. calculated by dividing the volume of water displaced in cubic feet by 35, the average density of sea water.

  5. Перемещение, сдвиг, весовое водоизмещение,

  6. The fact of being moved out of the usual position fracture of the radius together with displacement of the wrist

  7. Водоизмещение судна

  8. Водоизмещение; водоизмещающее плавание

  9. The centre of gravity of the displacement relates to the part of the ship under water, considered as homogeneous. the weight of water which a vessel displaces when floating is the same as the weight of the ship. (see centre of cavity.)

  10. Weight of a vessel expressed as either the number of long tons, or the cubic feet of water, displaced by the hull (1 ton = 35 cu.ft of seawater or 35.9 cu.ft of fresh).

  11. The volume of liquid delivered by a single stroke of a pump piston.

  12. Sometimes used as a synonym for offset deflec tion, deviation, dislocation, throw.

  13. The capacity of an air compressor, usually ex pressed in cubic feet of air per minute (c.f.m.).

  14. The weight of water dislocated by the hull of a vessel.

  15. The weight of a boat measured according to the weight of water it displaces. a boat displaces an amount of water equal to the weight of the boat, so the boat’s displacement and weight are identical.

  16. Изменение линейного или углового положения* перемещение, отклонение органа управления

  17. The product of stroke and of cylinder bore and number of cylinders of an engine, representing the theoretical volume of (incompressible) working fluid that can be drawn into an engine with each cycle. see also capacity and swept volume. 45

  18. Displacement is where you change your nearest relative. the process of changing the nearest relative is often known as ‘displacement proceedings’. your nearest relative can be displaced if you or the local authority have concerns about the way that they are behaving. see our pages on the nearest relative for more information.

Impermeable, английский
Said of a soil whose particles are so closely spaced that the passage of water is either prevented or very slow.

Superhot [fluid], английский
A colloquial term to represent very hot fluids that are produced from deep in earth’s crust.

Igneous province, английский
A region of the earth’s surface and shallow subsurface that contains features related to volcanoes, hot magma, or rocks that contain magmatic and/or naturally radioactive heat. these geological settings are obvious targets for geothermal exploration. a sub-category of igneous province is a magmatic hot spot of the earth’s crust, for example the iceland and hawaii hot spots. a few documents use “magmatic tectonic province,” but this term is geologically ambiguous and not recommended.
