The color system most people learned about in school. it is the system of mediums such as pigments, dyes, inks, and paints. the primary colors are yellow, blue, and red, and when you mix these colors together, you get black. this model is sometimes referred to as the ryb based on the standard set of subtractive primary colors used for mixing pigments. it is still used in art education but in more modern color theory cyan replaces blue and magenta replaces red.
