Black light, английский
- Invisible ultraviolet electromagnetic energy near the visible spectrum; useful for exciting fluorescent paints, dyes, etc., so that they become visible. bit key 112
- Commonly used as a descriptive name for the invisible radiations produced by an ultraviolet lamp. see lamp 1 and 2.
- Term sometimes used for ultraviolet radiation, particularly in the near ultraviolet range of about 320 to 400 nm.

- Disfavored term for ultraviolet radiation. the term is misleading because the phenomenon is not black and is not light and has also been applied to the lamp.
