Angular subtense

Глоссарий по тестированию
    (1) angular diameter of an optical system or subsystem, expressed in angular degrees or milliradians. (2) in thermography, the angle over which a sensing instrument collects radiant energy. 518 nondestructive testing overview

Angular, английский
  1. Angular wines are wines that lack roundness, generosity, and depth. wine from poor vintages or wines that are too acidic are often described as being angular.

  2. Угловой; угловатый 28 apparatus

  3. Угольчатый, углообразный. применяется при описании частиц с острыми концами или напоминающих по форме многогранник.

  4. Shape term for a rock particle with sharp edges and corners.

Angular acceleration, английский
    Угловое ускорение

Angular accelerator unit, английский
    Блок (придания) углового ускорения

Angular accelerometer, английский

Angular aggregate, английский
Aggregate, the particles of which possess well-defined edges formed at the intersection of roughly planar faces.

Angular alteration, английский

Angular capital, английский

Angular coordinate, английский
    Угловая координата

Angular crab, английский
An ugly long-armed crustacean—the goneplax angulata—with eyes on remarkably long stalks.

Angular cutter, английский

Angular deflection, английский
The angle between two consecutive pipes

Angular deviation, английский

Angular deviation sensor (based on gyroscopic action), английский

Angular differentiating accele- rometer, английский
    Угловой дифференцирующий акселерометр

Angular dimension, английский

Angular dimension line, английский
Размерная линия угла angular fall-off угловое ослабевание (света) angular fall-off light угловое ослабление света

Angular dislocation, английский
    Дислокация с изломом; дислокационный перегиб

Angular display unit, английский
    Блок индикации углов

Angular distance, английский
This term, when applied to celestial bodies, implies that the sun and moon, or moon and stars, are within measuring distance for lunars.

Angular distortion, английский

Milliradians, английский
  1. A measure of small angles. two thousand-pi milliradians can be measured in a complete circle. there are 17.4 mrads per degree of angle.

  2. Миллирадианы

Thermography, английский
  1. The use of infrared thermography whereby temperatures of a wide variety of targets can be measured remotely and without contact. this is accomplished by measuring the infrared energy radiating from the surface of the target and converting this measurement to an equivalent surface temperature.

  2. A technique, used especially in screening for breast cancer, where part of the body is photographed using infrared rays which record the heat given off by the skin and show variations in the blood circulating beneath the skin

  3. Imaging or viewing of an object or process through sensing of heat emitted by it. the temperature patterns on the material surface produce corresponding radiation patterns. thus, heat flow by both conduction and radiation may be observed and used to locate material discontinuities. most often, thermography is based on sensing of infrared radiation. see also infrared thermography.

  4. In infrared and thermal testing, technique that uses infrared radiation to seek discontinuities in materials, components, and structures. thermography may be active (pulsed thermography or thermosonics) or passive (thermal wave imaging or infrared thermography).

Instrument, английский
  1. A term used to describe a sensor (or sensors), the associated transducer(s), and the data read-out or recording device.

  2. (измерительный) прибор

  3. One of many terms for a light, heard mostly in the theater. see: lights.

  4. A piece of equipment or a tool the doctor had a box of surgical instruments.

  5. A term of extensive application among tools and weapons; but it is here introduced as an official conveyance of some right, or the record of some fact.

  6. A legal document that records an act or agreement and provides the evidence of that act or agreement. instruments include contracts, notes, and leases (e.g. a debt instrument).

  7. 1. Неразрушающий

  2. Неразрушающий (об испытаниях и т.п.)

Annular coil, английский
    See coil, encircling.

Angle of field, английский
    (1) in visual testing, included angle between those points on opposite sides of a beam axis at which the luminous intensity is 10 percent of the maximum value. this angle may be determined from an illuminance curve or may be approximated by use of an incident light meter. also known as field of view. compare depth of field.19 (2) in infrared and thermal testing, angular subtense (expressed in angular degrees or radians per side if rectangular and angular degrees or radians if round) over which an instrument will integrate all incoming radiant energy; the projection of the detector at the target plane. in a radiation thermometer, this angle defines the target spot size; in a line scanner or imager, it represents one resolution element in a scan line or a thermogram and is a, index of spatial resolution.
