Clarity

  1. A rating that affects price and beauty, and that describes the relative absence of blemishes and/or inclusions in a diamond (see: diamond clarity can it be identified with the naked eye).

  2. A gemstone`s relative freedom from inclusions and blemishes. sometimes called purity.

  3. Clarity is referred to as the purity or quality of a diamond and is the relative measurement of the inclusions and blemishes as determined by a gemologist using a special scope and a 10x magnification loupe. it is the visibility, number and size of these inclusions that determine the diamond`s clarity grade. the better the clarity of a diamond is, the greater the brilliance and it also increases the value or price of the diamond. diamond clarity is measured on a scale from flawless (fl) or internally flawless (if) to included (i1, i2, and i3). each of these characteristics are plotted on a diamond diagram that is included on the diamond`s grading certificate.

  5. 1. in general, the optical property of being clear. 2. in acetate manufacture, a measure of the appearance of dope solutions, indicating the quality of the acetylation mixture. 3. in printing, the sharpness or definition of a print pattern.

  6. The depth you are able to see objects under the water.

Inclusions, английский
  1. Undesired materials in a solid matrix.

  2. Prokaryotic cell cytoplasmic structures for storing specific nutrients and other resources needed by cells

Identified, английский

Measurement, английский
  1. Set of operations having the object of determining a value of a quantity (1)

  4. The size, length, etc. of something which has been measured

  10. The process of ascertaining the attributes, dimensions, extent, quantity, degree or capacity of some object of observation and representing these in the qualitative or quantitative terms of a data language. any empirical pursuit that places the observer outside his object of observation must consider measurement the fundamental process through which scientific constructs or models are linked to reality (->index, ->symptom). otherwise measurement is only one section in a circular process of computing a stable form. the traditional levels of measurement are nominal, ordinal, interval and ratio scales.

  11. The magnitude of the property of an object calibrated against one or more units of measure.

Determined, английский
  1. A предопределённый

Gemologist, английский

Magnification, английский
  1. The ratio of image to object size in an optical system. may be real (linear) or apparent (angular). milliradian (mrad)1/1000th of a radian, or 0.0573 degrees; the angle whose tangent is 0.001.

  2. The increase in the apparent or perceived size or subtended angle of an image in relation to actual size of object.

  4. The power of a microscope (or lens) to produce an image that appears larger than the actual specimen, expressed as a factor of the actual size

Visibility, английский
  1. The greatest distance at which it is possible with the unaided eye to recognize a prominent dark object against the horizon sky. at night, it is defined as the greatest distance at which a moderately intense, unfocused light source can be seen on the hori

  3. [1] visual range. [2] the atmospheric property that determines ability to see and identify objects. [3] in meteorology, the distance at which a standard object can be seen and identified by the unaided human eye.

  5. A property of a replica that indicates which members of the replica set it can synchronize with and which conflict resolution rules apply. replicas fall into three visibility types: global, local, and anonymous.

  6. The ability of a bluetooth device to let any other bluetooth device discover and connect with it.

  7. The ability of one element to see or refer to another. for one element to send a message to another element, the latter must be visible to the former.

  8. Said of a variable. a variable is visible if its contents can be accessed by its name. a local variable in one function might not be visible from inside another function. vi - the classic text editor on a unix machine. generally available on all unix based operating systems. the modern version of vi is vim.

  9. Maximum distance at which an object of defined size, brightness and contrast can be seen and recognized.

  10. Quality or state of being perceivable by the eye. in many outdoor applications, visibility is defined in terms of the distance at which an object can be just perceived by the eye. in indoor applications it usually is defined in terms of the contrast or size of a standard test object, observed under standardized view conditions, having the same threshold as the given object.2,6

  11. Quality or state of being perceivable by the eye. outdoors, visibility is usually defined in terms of the distance at which an object can be just perceived by the eye. indoors, visibility usually is defined in terms of the contrast or size of a standard test object, observed under standardized view conditions and having the same threshold as the given object (iesna 1984).

  12. The prominence and positions a website occupies within the organic search results.

Brilliance, английский

  2. The clarity, strength, and brightness of a color or varnish.

  3. The intensity of the white light perceived by the eye when viewing a diamond’s crown, including from external and internal reflections. clarity, polish, proportions, symmetry, and the quality of workmanship are factors that contribute to a diamond’s brilliance.

  4. Intensity of the internal and external reflections of white light from the crown of a polished diamond or other gemstone. hardness, refractive index, reflectivity, polish, lustre and proportions all affect a gemstone`s brilliance.

  5. Diamond brilliance is comprised of two components brightness and contrast. it is the sparkle you see when light is reflected from the surface as well as the total internal reflection of light.
