- Действующая система
- A computer program that runs the computer and handles data traffic between the disks and memory. one-way video, two-way audio people at originating location can be seen and heard by participants at other locations. the people at the originating location can hear, but cannot see participants at other locations. with two-way video, each group can see and hear other groups. usually limited to point- to-point.
- Операционная система
- A program that manages a computer`s hardware and software components. this program schedules the operation of other programs and provides a uniform interface to the hardware. examples include unix, dos, and windows nt.
- Every computer has an operating system, which is a sort of master program that runs automatically when you switch the computer on, and continues running till you switch off. it is responsible for the many routine tasks required to keep a computer running : moving the pointer when you move the mouse, providing icons and menus, running other programs such as a word processor or a game which you may request, controlling the various disk drives, the screen and so on. the most widely used pc operating system is microsoft- windows.
- The software that controls the allocation and usage of hardware resources such as memory, central processing unit (cpu) time, disk space, and peripheral devices. the operating system is the foundation on which programs are built.
- The program that runs on the computer hardware creating information objects such as les and processes and assures the fair and secure allocation of processor time, access to les, access to devices, and other resources. accounts and access control of data is commonly provided giving privacy/security
- The software which controls the operation of the computer and provides for a range of user facilities such as disk copying, formatting, file copying and disk management. most pcs use dos operating system while apple computers have their own operating system (modern computers can convert information across different operating systems) original any photograph, drawing, or piece of artwork provided as copy for reproduction. orphan the first line of a paragraph appearing as the last line of the foot of a page or column.
