Alkyd resin

Глоссарий по архитектуре и конструкциям
One of a group of thermoplastic synthetic resins; used in bonding materials, in adhesives, and in paints and varnishes.

Alkyd paint, английский
A paint using an alkyd resin as the vehicle for the pigment.

Resin, английский
  1. (1) solid, semisolid, or pseudosolid resin

  2. A nonvolatile solid or semisolid organic material, usually of high molecular weight; obtained as gum from certain trees or manufactured synthetically; tends to flow when subjected to heat or stress; soluble in most organic solvents but not in water; the film-forming component of a paint or varnish; used in making plastics and adhesives. resin-bonded descriptive of timber which has been glued with a synthetic resin.

  3. A sticky sap or liquid which comes from some types of tree

  4. Смола

  5. 1. a general term for solid or semi-solid natural organic substances, usually of vegetable origin and amorphous and yellowish to brown, transparent or translucent, and soluble in alcohol or ether but not in water. 2. any of a large number of manufactured products made by polymerization or other chemical processes and having the properties of natural resins. resin-treated: usually, a term descriptive of a textile material that has received an external resin application for stiffening or an internal fiber treatment (especially of cellulosics) to give wrinkle resistance or permanent press characteristics.

  6. A solid or liquid compounding material, generally a solid or semi-solid, composed of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen; includes polyesters, polystyrenes and acrylics used in the manufacture of varnishes, plastics and elastomers. some lubricating resins are residual oils.

  7. Resin is a material used in some furniture and, in particular in artificial wicker or rattan for garden furniture. this all-weather resin wicker or rattan looks like natural wicker or rattan but is made of synthetic material that is sun and rain proof, so the furniture can be left outdoors all year long.

Resin acides, английский

Resin bonded film, английский
    Смолистая пленка

Resin cartridge, английский

Resin chipboard, английский
A particleboard in which the binder for the wood chips is a resin.

Resin concrete, английский
Concrete in which an organic polymer is used as the binder. resin-emulsion paint a water paint consisting of a water emulsion of an oil-modified alkyd or other resin; when dry, leaves a tough film of resin. resin-impregnated wood, resin-treated

Resin ducts, английский
Intercellular passages that contain and transmit

Resin infusion dowelling, английский

Resin injection, английский
Localised repair of pipes, usually sewers, by injection into cracks, defects or cavities a resin formulation which subsequently cures to prevent leakage and further deterioration.

Resin injection dowelling, английский

Resin jack, английский

Resin mat soaks, английский
    Мат со смоляной пропиткой

Resin wood dowel, английский

Resin(oid) bond, английский
    Бакелитовая связка (шлифовального круга)

Thermoplastic, английский
  1. A plastic material that repeatedly softens when heated and hardens when cooled.

  2. A classification of resin that can be readily softened and reformed by heating and be rehardened by cooling.

  3. A material that will soften, flow, or distort appreciably when subject to sufficient heat and pressure, i.e., pvc or pe

  4. (1) capable of being repeatedly softened by heat and hardened by cooling

  5. A material which becomes soft and pliable when heated (without change in its other properties) and hard and rigid when cooled again.

  6. Термопласт, термопластичная пластмасса

  7. A term used to describe a plastic material that is permanently fusible, i.e. manufactured fibers that will soften at higher temperatures.

  8. A term used to describe a plastic material that is permanently fusible. the term as applied to manufactured fibers describes their tendency to soften at higher temperatures.

Glazing spacer block, английский
One of a number of blocks used to support glass in its frame. glazing sprig, glazing brad a headless nail used as a glazier’s point to retain a pane of glass in a wooden opening while the putty is soft.

Polyester resin, английский
One of a group of synthetic resins which undergo polymerization during curing; advantageous because high pressure is not required for curing; has excellent adhesive properties, high strength, good chemical resistance; esp. used in laminating and impregnating materials.
