Freedom arm

Глоссарий по искусственному интеллекту
    Can move within a (partial) sphere. these arms can have higher degrees of freedom, corresponding to multiple sub-arms. for example, a unit consisting of a three-degree of freedom arm attached to a three-degree of freedom "hand" would have six degrees of freedom. the latter three degrees of freedom would correspond to the ability to control the yaw, pitch, and roll of an object "held" by the "hand". in machine learning and statistical contexts, the degrees of freedom for a statistic are the count of unconstrained numbers in that statistic. for example, in a five-category multinomial, there are four degrees of freedom in the counts, as the total of the counts has to add up to the sample size. thus, a chi-square statistic on that table would have four degrees of freedom. see also: chi-square distribution, chi-square statistic, robotics.

Arm badges, английский
    There are specific rules concerning on which sleeve rate and rating badges are to be worn. [1] the royal navy introduced substantive petty officer rate badges to be worn on the left sleeve in 1827, then added non-substantive specialty rating (trade) badges to be worn on the right sleeve in 1860. [2] the u.s. navy changed the positioning of rate badges several times: • regulations of february 1841 introduced the petty officer’s badge (known familiarly as the crow). boatswain’s mates, gunner’s mates, carpenter’s mates, ship’s stewards, and ship’s cooks, were to wear an eagle and anchor on the right sleeve. quartermasters, quartergunners, captains of fore-castle, corporals and captains of the hold were to wear the same device on the left. • regulations of december 1866 specified that petty officers of the starboard watch should wear their rate badges on the right sleeve, while those of the port watch should wear them on the left. at this time specialty marks were added to the enlisted men’s uniform, consisting of the tools or instruments used in performing specific duties. • regulations of january 1913 cancelled the identification by watch and ordered petty officers of the seaman branch to wear their rate badges on the right, all other petty officers on the left. • in april 1949 right arm rates were disestablished by the usn.

Distribution, английский
  1. Распределение. размещение.

  2. Распределение - рыночный процесс, при котором крупные рыночные трейдеры в основном продают бумаги мелким трейдерам;

  3. The distribution of a set of numerical data is how their values are distributed over the real numbers. it is completely characterized by the empirical distribution function. similarly, the probability distribution of a random variable is completely characterized by its probability distribution function. sometimes the word "distribution" is used as a synonym for the empirical distribution function or the probability distribution function. if two or more random variables are defined for the same experiment, they have a joint probability distribution.

  4. Refers to the spread and shape of a frequency curve of some variable. a histogram is one way to graphically display the distribution of test results by showing the frequency of observations on the y-axis versus the magnitude on the x-axis. the normal or gaussian curve is one form of a distribution.

  10. Распределение dna (deoxyribonucleic acid)

  11. Распределение. 1.

  16. The delivery of electricity to the retail customer’s home or business through low voltage distribution lines.

  17. The spatial range of a species, usually on a geographic but sometimes on a smaller scale, or the arrangement or spatial pattern of a species over its habitat. • food resources will lead to this distribution. d. over space: • altitude: species diversity less abundant in higher than lower altitudes. • latitude: ecosystems are more complex in equatorial regions than in higher latitudes (poles) • scale: the greater the sample the better interpretability. • spatial: • aggregated or clump d.: individuals form one or more clumps, attracted to areas with the greatest availability of food or shelter and avoiding less hospitable terrain. • random d.: individual spacing would be determined by chance. • regular or uniform spacing d.: individuals may also be drawn together by some social interaction, such as mating or parental care. in other cases, antagonistic interactions between individuals or scarce d. over time: • habitat: (see there). • succession (see there).

  18.
