A configurable set of rules used to identify the xml document profile that an incoming xml invoice belongs to. that is, when an xml document is received, smart xml attempts to match the document to the correct xml document profile by checking the xml profile identifiers it contains. if all identifiers for a certain xml document profile are found, the document is identified as belonging to it. the document is then processed by the set of rules that are defined for the xml document profile and one of the xml document definitions that are connected to it (if further attempts to match the sender name succeed).
