  4. Reliability diagnostic report

  5. See: ripple down rules. real time data system (rtds) see: real time operation system. real time operation system (rtos) a real time operation system is designed to respond to data at (approximately) the same speed at which it arrives. this requires that the system emphasize speed rather than completeness or flexibility of, say, a workstation. the latter may need computational speed but typically does not need to respond immediately and continuously to a series of input events. a real time operation system is always designed to respond to an input within a given (short) time frame while a workstation is not.

  6. Radar data recording

Radar, английский
  1. Electronic system, used to locate objects beyond the range of vision, and to determine their distance by projecting radio waves against them.

  2. Радиолокационная станция; радиолокационный

  3. Radio detection and ranging

  4. Радиолокация; радиолокатор; радиолокационный

  5. Radio detecting and ranging

  6. Acronym for radio detection and ranging. an electronic system designed to transmit radio signals and receive reflected images of those signals from a "target" in order to determine the bearing and distance to the "target".

  7. Радар

  8. System for detecting the presence, range and direction of objects by emitting pulses of high-frequency electromagnetic waves and measuring the time for an echo to return and the direction it returns from (acronym of radio detection and ranging).

  9. Radio detection and ranging. an electronic instrument that uses radio waves to find the distance and location of other objects, employed effectively to avoid collisions, particularly in times of poor visibility.

  7. Electric system reliability has two components

  8. Generally, invulnerability to potentially corrupting influences. specifically

  9. The likelihood of a computer system or device continuing to function over a given period of time and under specified conditions.

  10. Reliability has two components: adequacy and security. the former involves ensuring that supply is available to meet demand at dispersed points of consumption. in network industries, storage can be costly-requiring adequate capacity to transportservices (electricity or telecommunications signals) to final consumers. security is characterized by the system’s ability to withstand sudden, unanticipated disturbances, as when a transmission line suddenly becomes unavailable or particular links or production nodes are disrupted.

  11. In general: reliability is the degree of performance according to imposed standards or expectations. electrical reliability is the absence of unplanned interruptions of the current by, for example, shortage of supply capacity or by failures in parts of the grid. reliability differs from security and from fl uctuations in power quality due to impulses or harmonics. renewable energy – see energy

  12. "the ability of an item to perform a required function under given conditions for a given time interval.
