Artificial intelligence, английский
  1. Искусственный интеллект

  2. Generally, artificial intelligence is the field concerned with developing techniques to allow computers to act in a manner that seems like an intelligent organism, such as a human would. the aims vary from the weak end, where a program seems "a little smarter" than one would expect, to the strong end, where the attempt is to develop a fully conscious, intelligent, computer-based entity. the lower end is continually disappering into the general computing background, as the software and hardware evolves. see also: artificial life. artificial intelligence in medicine (aim) aim is an acronym for artificial intelligence in medicine. it is considered part of medical informatics. see also: http://www.coiera.com/aimd.htm

  3. A branch of computer science concerned with the programming of computers so that they exhibit apparently intelligent behavior, e.g., the design of robots, chess playing automata or theorem proving machines. branches of artificial intelligence are pattern recognition, problem-solving, language processing and game playing. the only moderate success of reproducing human intelligence has nevertheless stimulated considerable insights into human cognitive processes and the use of computer metaphors in theories of mental activities is rampant (->anthropomorphism).

  4. Моделируемая (искусственно воспроизводимая) интеллектуальная деятельность мышления человека.

  5. The creation of models that mimic thought processes. see: neural networks, fuzzy logic, and genetic algorithms.

  6. Computer systems designed to mimic human intelligence. capabilities include reasoning, learning, problem-solving, perception, speech recognition, natural language processing, knowledge representation, planning, and more.

  7. The branch of computer science concerned with making computers behave like humans. artificial intelligence is much feted but its talents boil down to a superhuman ability to spot patterns in large volumes of data. in an hr setting artificial intelligence may be helpful to remove biases in decision making.
