Generating, английский
A rapid roughing process to quickly remove material from a lens. accomplished by cutting tools on a machine. generator, free-form – a type of computercontrolled generator with at least three axes of movement that can cut most continuous lens surface shapes to a level of precision and smoothness that requires only minimal polishing with a free-form polisher. generator, traditional – a type of generator with either two or three axes of movement that can cut only basic spherical and sphero-cylindrical lens surface shapes to a minimal level of smoothness that requires additional fining with a cylinder machine.

Turbulent flow, английский
- A fluid flow in which the velocity at a given point varies erratically in magnitude and direction.
- A flow situation in which the fluid particles move in a random manner.
- Flow in which the velocity at any point varies on an erratic basic. it occurs when flow velocity exceeds a limiting value or when tube configuration irregularities preclude laminar flow.
- Турбулентный поток
- The motion of a fluid in which local velocities and pressures fluctuate highly irregularly with time, in contrast to streamline flow.
- Rushing or uneven flow of blood in a vessel, usually caused by a partial obstruction
- A term in fluid mechanics referring to movement in which particle velocity and direction are irregular in the boundary layer. cf. laminar flow.
- Characterizes flow in eddies and currents through a pipe, in contrast to streamline, or laminar, flow; turbulent flow causes fluid friction loss. flow quality depends on a combination of factors; pipe diameter, fluid density, viscosity and velocity.
- Chaotic flow with eddies, which is unlike a smooth laminar flow. compare transition flow. u
Thermal stratification, английский
Also known as stacking, or build-up, it is the ability of hot water to form layers of different temperatures in the tank.
