Genlock

CCTV glossary (глоссарий терминов по видеонаблюдению)
  1. A device used to lock the frequency of an internal sync generator to an external source.

  2. Circuitry that synchronizes one video signal to another video signal. there are three types of genlock v-lock, hv-lock and full color. • v-lock is useful when simply switching from one b/w color source to another • hv-lock is used for full synchronization of b/w cameras, and requires a hd + vd input, composite sync input or composite vs video signal input. in the case of color cameras, this type of synchronization can be used when cutting between pictures, but not for mixing between them. • full color genlock is used when pictures have to be mixed without color degradation. it needs vbs composite video input.

  3. Ability of a device that handles video signals to synchronize itself to an external signal, as for overlaying graphics onto the incoming signal.

Synchronization, английский
  1. Rfc 793 and many others

  2. Синхронизация

  3. The process of keeping two devices or software systems precisely locked together, typically through the use of smpte, midi time code, or mc/spp standards. an example is keeping a sequencer precisely locked to a tape deck, maintaining the same location and speed.

  4. The matching of timing between computers on a network, or between components of a computer, so that all are coordinated.

  5. The process by which dpm transfers changes from the protected server to the dpm server, and applies the changes to the replica of the protected volume.

  6. The process of reconciling the differences between data stored in one location and a copy of the same data stored in another location.

Degradation, английский
  1. Dégradation

  2. The progressive failure of a machine or lubricant.

  3. Disintegration of a paint film by heat, moisture, sunlight, or natural causes.

  4. Debasement and disgrace. the suspension of a petty officer from his station; and also the depriving an officer or soldier of his arms previous to his being delivered over to the civil power for execution.

  5. In computer systems, a reduction in level of performance or service. degradation in microcomputer performance is indicated by slow response times or frequent pauses for disk access because memory is insufficient to hold an entire program plus the data the program is using.

  6. The loss of desirable physical properties by a textile material as a result of some process or physical/chemical phenomenon.

Synchronize, английский
To reconcile the differences between files, e-mail, appointments, and other items stored on one computer, device or in the cloud with versions of the same files on another computer, device or in the cloud. once the differences are determined, both sets of items are updated.

Impedance (input or output), английский
  1. The input or output characteristic of a system component that determines the type of transmission cable to be used. the cable used must have the same characteristic impedance as the component. expressed in ohms. video distribution has standardized on 75-ohm coaxial and 124-ohm balanced cable.

  2. The input or output characteristic of a system component that determines the type of transmission cable to be used. expressed in ohms.

Front porch, английский
  1. The portion of a composite picture signal which lies between the leading edge of the horizontal blanking pulse and the leading edge of the corresponding sync pulse.

  2. The blanking signal portion that lies between the end of the active picture

  3. The blanking signal portion that lies between the end of the active picture information and the leading edge of horizontal sync 15 / 43 g
