Center-weighted, английский
- A term used to describe an auto exposure system that uses the center portion of the image to adjust the overall exposure value. see also spot metering and matrix metering
- In a metering scheme, an exposure system that takes most of its information from the center portion of the frame. most center-weighted systems also take additional readings from the surround, but weight the reading towards the center.

- The ability to rapidly capture images as long as the shutter button is held down.also called continuous frame capture.
- Also know as continuous mode or “auto wind” on older slr’s. however, today’s digital slr’s have bust modes of up to 8 frames per second. great for sports and action shots.
- A camera option that enables users to capture moving subjects by snapping multiple photos on shutter press and allowing the user to pick the best one or just accept the photo recommended by the software. bus (n)
- A method of data transfer in which information is collected and sent as a unit in one high-speed transmission. in burst mode, an input/output device takes control of a multiplexer channel for the time required to send its data. in effect, the multiplexer, which normally merges input from several sources into a single high-speed data stream, becomes a channel dedicated to the needs of one device until the entire transmission has been sent. burst mode is used both in communications and between devices in a computer system.
