- Лицензия (договор о временной или постоянной передаче прав на реализацию изобретения, включая изготовление, продажу и использование объекта изобретения)
- A written document authorizing a person to perform specific acts, such as the construction or alteration of a building, or the installation, alteration, use, and/or operation of service equipment therein.
- An official permission from the board of trade, to such persons as it thinks fit to supply seamen or apprentices for merchant-ships in the united kingdom. (see runner, licensed.)
- Certificate of competence required by the officers and crew of merchantmen of virtually all maritime nations.
- Permission to take certain actions that would otherwise be unlawful or infringing. for instance, a trademark owner may grant a license allowing someone else to use their trademark.
- The "c" and the "s" are what can make license tough to spell. people often switch them around, or replace one with the other. in american english, it`s always "license." but in british english, it`s spelled "licence" when it`s a noun, and "license" when it`s a verb.
