Stiffness property:
|
A property used in the calculation of the deformation of the structure, such as modulus of elasticity, shear modulus, slip modulus.

Stiffness, английский
- See "shaft stiffness"
- Rigidez, dureza, agarrotamiento, entumecimiento
- The ratio of the force applied to a structure (or a structural element) to the corresponding displacement.
- The fact of being stiff arthritis accompanied by stiffness in the joints
- The property of a fiber or fabric to resist bending, or to carry a load without deformation.
- The property of a fiber or fabric to resist bending or to carry a load without deformation. it is based on the fiber modulus.
- The ratio between stress and deformation.
- The ability of a metal or shape to resist elastic deflection. for identical shapes, the stiffness is proportional to the modulus of elasticity.
- The ability of a structure or shape to resist elastic deformation. for a given shape the stiffness scales with its moment of inertia (varies with cross sectional dimensions). compare ductility; hardness; modulus of elasticity.
- Slope of curve of stress to strain, described by young’s modulus of elasticity. compare hardness.
Stiffness factor, английский
Of a member, the ratio of the moment of inertia of the cross section to its length. stiffness factor 943 stick style

Deformation, немецкий
Elasticity, английский
- Usually used to explain consumer demand in response to changes in prices. demand for basic goods such as bread is thought to be inelastic since the amount of bread bought changes little with price. if the price goes up, people have little choice but to pay it, but if it goes down they are unlikely to eat more bread. by comparison, luxury goods are price elastic. if the price of chauffeur-driven trips to work becomes too expensive, executives may switch to black cabs, or even the train.
- Упругость
- The property of a body that causes it to tend to return to its original shape after deformation (as stretching, compression, or torsion).
- The ability to expand and be compressed and to return to the former shape
- Способность к быстрой адаптации
- Упругость, эластичность bulk ~ объёмная упругость
- The ability of a strained material to recover its original size and shape immediately after removal of the stress that causes deformation.
- Responsiveness; the degree to which one variable (e.g., quantity demanded) is responsive to a change in another (e.g., price).
- The capability of a material to regain its original shape or
- Эластичность (цен, спроса, предложения)
- That property of a material by virtue of which it tends to recover its original size and shape after deformation. electrical noise
- Ability of a material to resume its former shape after deformation.
- Ability of a material to resume its former shape after deformation.1
- Ability of a material to regain its former shape after removal of applied stress. see also ductility.
