Unconditional independence

Глоссарий по искусственному интеллекту
Two attributes are unconditionally independent if their joint probabilities are the product of their independent probabilities over the domain of interest. independence implies lack of correlation. the converse is not true. see also: bayesian network, belief net.

Independence, английский
  1. Г. индепенденс {шт. канзас, сша)

  2. Независимость

  3. In probabilistic expert systems, an attribute x is independent of another attribute y given a set of attributes w

  4. Self-suficiency concerning information. independent systems are closed to information. variation outside the boundaries of independent systems do not affect the variation within. there is no input. in statistics, two variables are independent if the coocurance of their values is mere chance, e.g., zero correlation. in logic and set theory, two variables are independent if the relation between them is the mere cartesian product of two properties. two individuals are independent if each does what he wants to do, neither having to consider the behavior of the other. a clock is designed to be independent of variation in temperature, geographical location including gravity while it is correlated with other clocks and communicating its output states to an observer. independent systems maybe a source but not the receiver of communication (->closed system, ->closure). .

Independence air, английский

Independence dump, английский
    Независимый дамп

Independence float, английский
    Независимый запас времени

Independence measure funct, английский
A measure of disability. abbr fim

Unconditional, английский
    Безусловный

Unconditional (adj), английский
An option that forwards all incoming calls unconditionally. undead

Unconditional acceptance, английский
    Безусловный акцепт

Independent, английский
  1. One who logs and sells his output on the open market; not associated with a mill or under company or dealer contract (19).

  2. Независимый; автономный

  3. Независимый, автономный

  4. Независимый, самостоятельный; рантье (лицо, живущее на доходы от капитала)

  5. Независимый

  6. A независимый

  7. A merchant ship under naval control, but sailing alone and unescorted by any warship.

Correlation, английский
  1. A measure of linear association between two (ordered) lists. two variables can be strongly correlated without having any causal relationship, and two variables can have a causal relationship and yet be uncorrelated.

  2. Соотношение; корреляция

  3. N корреляция, соответ- ствие regular ~s закономерные соответствия

  4. Корреляция

  5. Correlation is a statistical measure of the association between two attributes or types of events. it typically ranges from -1 to 1, with a -1 indicating a complete negative association (e.g., if one type of event occurs the other cannot), and a +1 indicating a complete posipage 66 tive association. for continuous attributes, the pearson correlation coefficient is computed as the ratio of the covariance between two attributes to the product of the attributes` standard errors. see also: covariance.

  6. To correlate, in a stratigraphic sense, is to show correspondence in character and in stratigraphic position between geographically separated stratigraphic sections or rock bodies. there are different kinds of correlation depending on the feature or property to be emphasized (see section 3.a.9 and lithocorrelation, biocorrelation, and chronocorrelation). coset. a sedimentary unit made up o f two or more sets, either o f strata or o f cross-strata, separated from other strata or cross-strata by original flat surfaces o f erosion, nondeposition, or abrupt change in character (mckee and weir, 1953, p. 384).

  7. Creating relationships between an email activity and other records by using the information from email headers.

  8. Statistical measure of the degree to which the movements of two variables (stock/option/convertible prices or returns) are related. see: correlation coefficient.

  9. The extent to which a relationship exists between two or more elements. often used in seo research to infer relationships of variables on search rankings due to the black box nature of algorithms. always remember, however, that correlation ≠ causation.

  10. A standardised measure, bounded between −1 and +1, of the strength of association between two variables.

Tree recursion, английский
Tree recursion is a special form of recursion where each level of evaluation makes multiple recursive calls to the same function or procedure. it is used, for example, in developing a classification tree. see also: classification tree, combinatorial explosion.

Twoing, английский
Twoing is a multi-class splitting criteria introduced in the classification and regression trees (cart) program. recall that cart produces only binary splits. the twoing criteria find a binary superclass of the available classes in each node that maximizes the twoing criteria. the twoing criteria itself is a weighted squared sum over the classes in the nodes of the absolute difference between the probability of each class being in the left node and the probability of being in the right node. see also: classification and regression trees, gini index. two-monotone (2-monotone) see: choquet capability. 2/3 rule a rule for calculating the output of each node in the f1 layer of an art network. at least two of the three inputs (input pattern, g1 gain control, top-down prototype) have to be active for the node to become active. see also: art, ftp:://ftp.sas.com/pub/neural/faq2.html, http://www.wi.leidenuniv.nl/art/.
