- A diagram which shows the relationship between quantities as a line

- A graph is a set of objects that have connections to other objects. the objects are often referred to as nodes and the connections as arcs or edges. if the connections have directions associated with them, the graph is referred to as a directed graph. if the connections are such that there is only one path between any two objects, then the graph is acyclic. a graph has both properties is referred to as a directed acyclic graph (dag). see also: bayesian network, belief net, graph.
