Splined interpolation

Глоссарий ИТ-терминов
One of three methods used to describe how an animation transitions between values over its duration. this method uses a bezier curve to describe how the animation transitions between key frames. the bezier curve starts at zero, which corresponds to the current key frame value, and ends at one (the next key frame’s value). by altering the curve’s two control points, you alter the animation’s progress curve. split (v)

Interpolate, английский
  1. When two machines understand each other. i.e., if you create cad drawings for a part on a computer, you can send it to a cnc lathe and the cnc lathe interpolates the information given to it by the computer. example the cnc machine interpolates the data sent to it.

  2. Интерполировать

  3. To estimate intermediate values between two known values in a sequence.

Interpolate, interpolation, английский

Interpolated, английский
  1. Software programs can enlarge image resolution beyond the actual resolution by adding extra pixels using complex mathematic calculations. see resolution below

  2. Most software programs can enlarge image resolution beyond the actual resolution by adding extra pixels. this normally decreases the quality of the image but can be enhanced by a program (or plug in for photoshop) such as lizardtech’s “genuine fractals“.

Interpolated color scanner, английский
Сканер с интерполяцией цветов; сканер, поддерживающий режим интерполяции цвета

Interpolated resolution, английский
    Разрешение с интерполяцией

Interpolatio, латинский

Interpolation, английский
  1. Интерполяция, увеличение числа пикселов в изображении или пополнение потерянной информации путем усреднения значений окружающих пикселов

  2. Given a set of bivariate data (x, y), to impute a value of y corresponding to some value of x at which there is no measurement of y is called interpolation, if the value of x is within the range of the measured values of x. if the value of x is outside the range of measured values, imputing a corresponding value of y is called extrapolation.

  3. Интерполяция

  4. N интерполяция

  5. Интерполяция; интерполирование

  6. A kind of interpolation that animates the property values between successive key times.

  7. A kind of interpolation that averages pixel information when scaling an image. when reducing the size of an image, pixels are averaged to create a single new pixel; when an image is scaled up in size, additional pixels are created by averaging pixels of the smaller image.

  8. A method of estimating (a value or a function) between the values already known or determined.

  9. A method of approximating a price or yield that is unknown by using numbers that are known.

Interpolation formula, английский
    Интерполяционная формула; формула интерполяции

Interpolation gain, английский

Interpolation gain (ig), английский

Interpolation net, английский
An interpolation net is a two-layer neural network that is used to estimate a response based on input values. the first layer computes the gaussian distance between each of the nodes and the input point, and the second layer combines each of the node`s values according to the gaussian weights. see also: gaussian function.

Interpolation of contours, английский

Interpolation points, английский
Точки, задающие вид поверхности или кривой и принадлежащие ей.

Interpolatory function, английский
    Интерполирующая функция; интерполяционная функция

Interpolatoryquadrature rule, английский
    Интерполяционное квадратурное правило

Spline, английский
  1. A spline is a mathematical function defined over a compact region of a (continuous) variables range. it is generally continuous and is often represented by a low order polynomial function (or its integral). the knots of a spline are its points of inflection. its degree is a measure of the number of continuous derivatives. these functions underlie many data mining and nonparametric or semi-parametric regression functions. since they are only defined over a region of the full attribute range, they allow the function to adapt well to data in their region of support without strongly influencing the results in regions outside that region. techniques such as classification and regression trees (cart) and c4.5 that recursively partition the attribute space can be thought of as recursive spline functions with zero-order splines (constant values) fit in each region. the attributes in each sub-region so defined can then be searched for further places to partition that region adaptively for improved prediction. see also: c4.5, classification and regression trees, multivariate adaptive regression spline, nonparametric. split-sample validation a method for estimating the error in automated modeling techniques such as neural networks, recursive partitioning, and data mining. the data are split into two parts, a larger part for estimation and a small hold out sample used to estimate the true error. the technique is best used when there is a very large amount of data available as it reduces the size of the training data.

  2. A curved line, made up of segments and defined by control points.

Spline insert, английский
    Шпонка

Spline joint, английский
A joint formed by inserting a spline in a slot cut into the two butting members. split 1. a rupture in a built-up roof membrane, resulting from tensile stresses. 2. a crack that extends completely through a piece of wood or wood veneer. 3. a brick cut lengthwise, in two pieces, parallel to the wide face of the brick, so that it is half as thick; also called scone. spliced pile 922 spline, false tongue, feather, slip feather, slip tongue 1. a long thin strip of wood or spline, 1 splice plate spline, 2 split, 3

Application virtualization management server, английский
One of two application virtualization server types from which a sequenced application package can be streamed. in addition to streaming virtual application packages, the application virtualization management server offers other services such as publishing, management, reporting, and so on.

Discrete interpolation, английский
One of three methods used to describe how an animation transitions between values over its duration. this method produces a jump from one value to the next, without generating in-between values.
