    Glaucoma, английский
    1. Glaucoma

    2. A disease associated with increased pressure of the fluid of the eye. this disease may initially have no symptoms or pain. the condition damages the optic nerve that may lead to blindness. may be treated with medication drops and/or surgery.

    3. A condition of the eyes, caused by unusually high pressure of fluid inside the eyeball, resulting in disturbances of vision and blindness

    4. A disease in which pressure builds up within the eye and causes internal damage, gradually destroying vision. often hereditary, glaucoma usually affects persons after 40. symptoms may be blurred vision, difficulty in focusing, loss of peripheral vision, or slow adaptation to severe and irreversible loss of vision has occurred. while no method exists for preventing glaucoma, diagnosing the disease in its earliest stages can prevent further damage.
