Ship`s manifest

    A statement listing the particulars of all shipments loaded for a specified voyage.

  1. A complete list of the units (containers) being carried by a service on a given date, itemised by the wagons on which they are being carried.

  2. Inventory of cargo on board

  3. A document listing the cargo, passengers, and crew of a ship for the use of customs and other officials.

  4. A document containing a full list of the ship`s cargo, extracted from the bills of lading.

  5. An official inventory of the cargo of a merchant ship, specifying the name and tonnage of the vessel, the description of goods, the names of shippers and consignees, and the marks of each package.

  6. A document listing the cargo carried by a commercial vessel, including the marking and numbers of each separate package, the names of shippers and consignees, the quantity of goods contained in each package, and an account of the freight corresponding with the bills of lading.

  7. A document that describes the contents of a shipment in greater detail than a bill of lading. commonly used as a checklist during unloading.

An integral part of every assembly that renders the assembly selfdescribing. the assembly manifest contains the assembly’s metadata. the manifest establishes the assembly identity, specifies the files that make up the assembly implementation, specifies the types and resources that make up the assembly, itemizes the compile-time dependencies on other assemblies, and specifies the set of permissions required for the assembly to run properly. this information is used at run time to resolve references, enforce version binding policy, and validate the integrity of loaded assemblies. the self-describing nature of assemblies also helps makes zero-impact install and xcopy deployment feasible.

  9. An xml document that describes requirements for an application. the application manifest can be a separate file or embedded in the application’s .exe file.
