Sublimation
|
- The transition of a substance from the solid phase directly to the vapour phase without being in the liquid phase. the opposite of sublimation is deposition.
- The direct change from the solid to the vapor phase (without passing through the liquid phase). commonly occurs in ice and snow fields on sunny days above the snowline.
- A psychological process in which violent emotions which would otherwise be expressed in antisocial behaviour are directed into actions which are socially acceptable
