Aberratio [onis, f], латинский

Aberration, английский
  1. A term from optics that refers to anything affecting the fidelity of the image in regards

  2. A term from optics that refers to anything affecting the fidelity of the image in regards to the original scene.

  3. A distortion of image quality or color rendition in a photographic image caused by optical limitations of the lens used for image capture. aberrations commonly show up in the form of halation around high-contrast portions of the image, or “smearing” of color toward the edges of the frame. aspheric lens surfaces and advanced lens coatings are often used in more expensive or complex lenses as a means of reducing aberrations. for more on this subject, see the explora article, “optical anomalies and lens corrections explained.”

  4. Any flaw introduced during the manufacturing or grinding of a spectacle lens that can result in image blur. it may be inherent in the lens design or may result from an error in processing.

  5. An action or growth which is not usual or expected

  6. An apparent change of place, or alteration of their mean position, in the fixed stars, caused by the earth`s orbital movement.— aberration of a planet signifies its progressive geocentric motion, or the space through which it appears to move, as seen from the earth, during the time which light occupies in passing from the planet to us.—crown of aberration is a spurious circle surrounding the proper disc of the sun.—constant of aberration, or amount of displacement in the sun`s longitude, arising from

  7. In celestial navigation, the apparent displacement of a heavenly body due to the observer’s motion.

Aberration (аберрация), английский

Chromosome, английский
  1. A rodshaped structure in the nucleus of a cell, formed of dna, which carries the genes comment: each human cell has 46 chromosomes, 23 inherited from each parent. the female has one pair of x chromosomes, and the male one pair of xy chromosomes, which are responsible for the sexual difference. sperm from a male have either an x or a y chromosome. if a y chromosome sperm fertilises the female’s ovum the child will be male.

  2. In genetic algorithms, this is a data structure that holds a sequence of task parameters, often called genes. they are often encoded so as to allow easy mutations and crossovers (i.e., changes in value and transfer between competing solutions). see also: crossover, gene, genetic algorithm, mutations.

  3. The structures in the nucleus of the cell, consisting of dna bound to histones and other proteins. the genes are made of dna (although most of the dna sequence is not part of any gene). genes are arranged along the chromosomes in a continuous sequence. chromosome protein structure allows for selective activation (genes are transcribed into protein) or silencing (genes are not expressed), and thus for differential expression of the genome in different cell types and expression of genes in appropriate sequences during the development of the organism or under various metabolic conditions.

  4. Bacteria genomic dna

  5. Discrete dna structure within a cell that controls cellular activities

Chromosome analysis, английский
    Análisis cromosómico

Chromosome mapping, английский
A procedure by which the position of genes on a chromosome is established

Chromosomes, английский
    Cromosomas

Arrangement, английский
  1. Расположение; компоновка; устройство

  2. N упорядочение

  3. A custom-created layout of photos in an album.

  4. A predefined combination of grouped and sorted messages in table view.

Degeneration, английский

Rite of passage, английский
A ceremony which shows that somebody is moving from one stage of their life to another, e.g. from childhood to puberty or from unmarried to married life
