Cerebrospinal fluid, английский
Fluid which surrounds the brain and the spinal cord. abbr csf comment: csf is found in the space between the arachnoid mater and pia mater of the brain, within the ventricles of the brain and in the central canal of the spinal cord. it consists mainly of water, with some sugar and sodium chloride. its function is to cushion the brain and spinal cord and it is continually formed and absorbed to maintain the correct pressure.
