    Blemish, английский
    1. In wood, marble, etc., usually a minor appearance defect that does not necessarily affect durability or strength.

    2. Blemishes are often seen on diamond surfaces. these external characteristics include abrasions, nicks, extra facets, polish marks, naturals, and scratches. many are not visible to the naked or untrained eye.

    3. Term used in the gia clarity-grading system for any nick, scratch, abrasion, pit, polish mark, graining or polish line on the surface of a polished diamond.

    4. A scar or defect, usually caused by injury or disease, that doesn`t affect serviceability.
