    Substrate, английский
    1. Запечатываемый материал, субстрат, например, бумага, пленка и т.д.

    6. Supporting surface on which an organism grows. the substrate may simply provide structural support, or may provide water and nutrients. a substrate may be inorganic, such as rock or soil, or it may be organic, such as wood.

    7. The physical material upon which a photovoltaic cell is applied.

    8. Fabric to which coatings or other fabrics are applied. it can be of woven, knit, nonwoven, or weft-insertion construction. generally, substrate properties are dependent both on fiber type and fabric construction. usually the fabric is scoured, heat-set, and otherwise finished prior to coating or bonding. many smooth-surfaced manufactured fiber fabrics require impregnation with a latex prior to coating to ensure adequate adhesion.

    9. A solid surface on which an organism lives or to which it is attached (also called substratum); or, a chemical that forms the basis of a biochemical reaction or acts as a nutrient for microorganisms.

    10. The base or material on which communication is written (e.g. rock, clay, bark, paper, parchment, etc.)

    12. Chemical reactants of an enzymatic reaction

    13. Layer of metal underlying a coating, regardless of whether the layer is basis metal.
