Pump load

Diamond Glossary (алмазы и бриллианты - глоссарий терминологии)
The back pressure and/or resistance to flow of fluids that a pump must overcome to force a fluid to flow through a pipeline, drill string, etc. pump packing. the material placed around drill rods, piston rods, and similar moving pants that, when compacted under a packing gland, serves to prevent leakage of fluids without materially restricting the rotation or the vertical or reciprocating movement of the rod, etc.

  6. An end use device or customer that receives power from an energy delivery system. load should not be confused with demand, which is the measure of power that a load receives or requires. see demand.

  7. The demand on an energy producing system; the energy consumption or requirement of a piece or group of equipment. usually expressed in terms of amperes or watts in reference to electricity.

  8. The collective appliances and other devices connected to a power source. when used with a shunt regulator, a load is often used to absorb any excess power being generated. m

  9. The simultaneous demand of all customers required at any specified point in an electric power system.

Load balance, английский
To redistribute work to available resources or to reschedule to available times.

Load balancer, английский
  1. A device or software that distributes the work between several computers, processes, hard disks, or other resources to get optimal resource utilization. a network load balancer, in the context of application request routing, is a proxy-based load balancer that distributes network traffic among several web servers.

  2. A layer-4 (tcp, udp) type load balancer that distributes incoming traffic among healthy service instances in cloud services or virtual machines defined in a load balancer set.

Load balancing, английский
  1. The pre-stressing of a beam or slab so that it is subject to zero bending movement under its service load. load-bearing partition a partition capable of supporting a load in addition to its own weight. load-bearing tile tile, used in masonry walls, which carries superimposed loads. load-bearing wall a wall capable of supporting an imposed load in addition to its own weight. load-carrying band a flat piece of metal which is welded to a side or end of a grating panel, used in a cutout to transfer the load from unsupported to supported bearing bars. load-deflection curve a graph in which increasing flexural loads on a beam are plotted along the vertical axis, and deflections resulting from these loads are plotted along the horizontal axis.

  3. In client/server network administration, the process of reducing heavy traffic flows either by dividing a busy network segment into multiple smaller segments or by using software to distribute traffic among multiple network interface cards working simultaneously to transfer information to a server.

  4. In distributed processing, the distribution of activity across two or more servers in order to avoid overloading any one with too many requests from users.

  5. In routing, the capability of a router to distribute traffic over all its network ports that are the same distance from the destination address. good loadbalancing algorithms use both line speed and reliability information.

Load bearing, английский

Resistance, английский
  1. Property of a conductor that opposed the current flow produced by a given difference of potential. the ohm is the practical unit of resistance.

  2. Уровень сопротивления - уровень цен, при котором активные продажи могут приостановить или развернуть тенденцию к повышению;

  3. Сопротивление (параметр)

  4. Сопротивление

  5. Сопротивление, т. е. уровень цен, при котором активные продажи могут приостановить или развернуть тенденцию к повышению.

  6. 1. the ability of a person not to get a disease 2. the ability of bacteria or a virus to remain unaffected by a drug the bacteria have developed a resistance to certain antibiotics. 3. opposition to a force

  7. Resistencia

  8. Устойчивость; резистентность resource for child health (reach)

  9. Устойчивость; резистентность

  10. The property of opposing movement, for example [1] electrical conductors offer resistance to the flow of electricity and dissipate some of its energy, usually as heat. [2] water resists the movement of vessels or other objects by parasitic drag, consuming some of the power available to drive the vessel forward.

  11. Imperviousness of the coating to mechanical, chemical, physical or weather influences

  12. Capacity of a member or component, or a cross-section of a member or component of a structure, to withstand actions without mechanical failure e.g. bending resistance, buckling resistance, tension resistance

  13. A material’s ability to restrict the flow of electrical current through itself. measured in ohms.

  14. The opposition of a circuit to the flow of current . resistance is measured in ohms, and can be calculated by dividing the voltage by current.

  15. The ability to impede (resist) the flow of electric current. with the exception of superconductors, all substances have a greater or lesser degree of resistance. substances with very low resistance, such as metals, conduct electricity well and are called conductors. substances with very high resistance, such as glass and rubber, conduct electricity poorly and are called nonconductors or insulators.

  16. An effective upper bound on prices achieved because of many willing sellers at that price level.

  17. Capacity of a component, or cross section of a component of a structure to

  18. The opposition to the flow of an electrical current through a conductor or circuit that does not include inductive or capacitive elements. it can be expressed as the ratio of the applied voltage to the current.

  19. Resistance is the opposition to the flow of an electrical current through a conductor. its unit is the ohm.
