Concept learning

Глоссарий по искусственному интеллекту
In machine learning, a concept is exemplified by a set of positive examples (cases that are examples of the concept) and a set of negative examples (cases that are not examples of the concept). in concept learning, the learner is attempting to construct a rule or algorithm that allows it to completely separate the positive and negative examples. see also: equivalence query, machine learning, membership query.

Concept lattice, английский
A concept space that is partially ordered by the concept`s extensions and intensions forms a concept lattice. extensions are related by a subset relation among concepts and by the greater generality of the concept intensions. the orderings are only partial as not all subsets or clusters will satisfy a less than or greater than relationship. two subsets may both contain a given subset and be contained in another subset but not have any ordering between themselves, or they may share nothing more that the empty set as a subset and the universe as a superset. see also: partially ordered set.
