Heteroassociative

Heteroassociative models are models that relate one set of variables to a different set of variables, such as a prediction or classification. the predicting variables are different from the target variable(s). see also: artificial neural network, autoassociative.

Prediction, английский
  1. An act of saying what you expect will happen in the future, or what is said the health ministry’s prediction of a rise in cases of hepatitis b

  4. Forecasting quantitative or qualitative outputs through function approximation, applied on input data or measurements.59 610 p t echn i cal g los sary

  5. Literally knowing something outside the range of an observer`s experiences. minimally, prediction is a mere extrapolation of given data into the future (forecasting) or into the past (retrodiction) (->estimation). it is usually justified by reference to general theories or models which serve as the basis for drawing inferences from available data to phenomena outside their range. thus, predictions are the conclusions drawn from the premise of available data using theories and models as a kind of syllogistic device (->simulation) •

  6. A data mining technique that analyzes existing data and uses the results to predict values of attributes for new records or missing attributes in existing records. for example, existing credit application data can be used to predict the credit risk for a new application.

Classification, английский
  1. Assigning data (i e , cases or observations) cases to one of a fixed number of possible classes (represented by a nominal output variable)

  4. The work of putting references or components into order so as to be able to refer to them again and identify them easily the abo classification of blood

  6. N классификация language typological ~ типологическая классификация classificatory a классификационный matrix classifying a классифицирующий article

  7. The placement of an item under the correct number in the customs tariff for duty purposes. at times this procedure becomes highly complicated; it is not uncommon for importers to resort to litigation over the correct duty to be assessed by the customs on a given item

  9. The process of assigning a set of records from a database (observations in a dataset) into (usually) one of ``small" number of pre-specified disjoint categories. related techniques include regression, which predicts a range of values and clustering, which (typically) allows the categories to form themselves. the classification can be "fuzzy" in several senses of the word. in usual sense, the classification technique can allow a single record to belong to multiple (disjoint) categories with a probability (estimated) of being in each class. the categories can also overlap when they are developed either through a hierarchical model or through an agglomerative technique. finally, the classification can be fuzzy in the sense of using "fuzzy logic" techniques. see also: clustering, fuzzy logic, regression. classification and regression trees (cart) classification and regression trees (cart) is a particular form of decision tree used in data mining and statistics.

  11. A systematic organization of classes.

  12. The placement of an incident into a hierarchy of descriptors that indicate what the incident is generally about. for example, an incident could be classified as being related to software, and then to microsoft, and then to word 2003.

  13. The type of updates that sce downloads from microsoft update during synchronization.

  14. An offender is classified for a particular security level and housed in an appropriate facility based on assessment of their crime, security risk and prison behavior.

  15. A code which provides a method for categorizing the invention.

  16. The code for a specific type of complementary work or variation.

Predicting, английский

Artificial, английский

  2. Made to resemble a natural material or object, for example, faux marbre.

  3. A искусственный intelligence, language

  4. Bait made of some type of metal, plastic or rubber. comes in many colors, may be scented or unscented.

Autoassociative, английский
An autoassociative model uses the same set of variables as both predictors and target. the goal of these models to usually to perform some form of data reduction or clustering. see also: cluster analysis, nonlinear principal components analysis, principal components analysis.

Lifer, английский
Hendrix developed this natural language parser in 1977 at stanford research institute.

Hugin, английский
Hugin is a commercial expert-system shell and library that uses a bayesian belief network. hugin influences diagrams to capture uncertainty in system and to provide embedded advisors in systems. see also: http://www.hugin.dk/
