Bezier curve, английский
  1. Кривая безье

  2. A curve that is calculated mathematically to connect separate points into smooth, free-form curves and surfaces of the type needed for illustration programs and cad models. bezier curves need only a few control points to define a large number of shapes—hence their usefulness over other mathematical methods for approximating a given shape.

Bezier path, английский
A vector path defined by anchor points and path segments between those points.

Bezier surface, английский
    Поверхность, образуемая кривыми безье

Bezier tool, английский
    Инструмент "кривая безье"

Spline, английский
  1. A spline is a mathematical function defined over a compact region of a (continuous) variables range. it is generally continuous and is often represented by a low order polynomial function (or its integral). the knots of a spline are its points of inflection. its degree is a measure of the number of continuous derivatives. these functions underlie many data mining and nonparametric or semi-parametric regression functions. since they are only defined over a region of the full attribute range, they allow the function to adapt well to data in their region of support without strongly influencing the results in regions outside that region. techniques such as classification and regression trees (cart) and c4.5 that recursively partition the attribute space can be thought of as recursive spline functions with zero-order splines (constant values) fit in each region. the attributes in each sub-region so defined can then be searched for further places to partition that region adaptively for improved prediction. see also: c4.5, classification and regression trees, multivariate adaptive regression spline, nonparametric. split-sample validation a method for estimating the error in automated modeling techniques such as neural networks, recursive partitioning, and data mining. the data are split into two parts, a larger part for estimation and a small hold out sample used to estimate the true error. the technique is best used when there is a very large amount of data available as it reduces the size of the training data.

  2. A curved line, made up of segments and defined by control points.

Spline insert, английский
    Шпонка

Spline joint, английский
A joint formed by inserting a spline in a slot cut into the two butting members. split 1. a rupture in a built-up roof membrane, resulting from tensile stresses. 2. a crack that extends completely through a piece of wood or wood veneer. 3. a brick cut lengthwise, in two pieces, parallel to the wide face of the brick, so that it is half as thick; also called scone. spliced pile 922 spline, false tongue, feather, slip feather, slip tongue 1. a long thin strip of wood or spline, 1 splice plate spline, 2 split, 3

Spline rolling machine, английский

Spline shaft, английский

Spline shaft hobbing machine, английский

Spline. false window, blind window the representation of a window inserted to complete a series of windows or to give symmetry; a blank window., английский

Spline. slip form, sliding form in concrete construction, a form designed to move upward slowly (usually by means of hydraulic jacks or screw jacks), supported by the hardened concrete of the wall section which was poured previously., английский

Spline. slip-tongue joint a spline joint., английский

Thumb keyboard, английский
A split on-screen keyboard that is optimized for thumb typing.

Voice command mode, английский
A speech mode that you can use to give commands to a program.
