Foliage freeze, английский
Green vegetation of trees that appears windswept and “frozen”. this is due to the heat of the fire that causes green vegetation to soften while wind and/or gravity bend the foliage in the direction of the wind. heat from the fire removes moisture from the vegetation, drying and freezing it into a fixed position consistent with the wind direction at the time of fire passage. this is one of the categories of fire pattern indicators.
