A horizontal, vertical, or spherical vessel that separates well fluids into gas and total liquid. the oil leaves the vessel through the bottom, while gas leaves through the top.

- Сепаратор прибор для отбора проб воздуха, содержащий несколько (как правило, 8—10) раздельных дымоулавливающих фильтров и наборов реактивов, причем воздушный поток автоматически переключается с одного фильтра на другой через определенные интервалы времени (обычно через сутки). широко применяется в западной европе для ежедневных замеров концентрации дыма и сернистого газа; использование этого прибора снимает необходимость ежедневных выездов на пункт отбора проб. использованные дымовые фильтры и реактивы вынимают для проведения анализов с интервалом в 7—10 дней, а на их место помещают новые фильтры и реактивы.
