    Phase, английский
    1. For ease of production and distribution, a.c. is distributed in what is known a 3 phase supply using three active wires and one neutral wire.

    2. A fraction, expressed in degrees, of one complete cycle of a wave form or orbit.

    3. The position of a wave in space, measured at a particular point in time. waves are in phase with each other when all the troughs and peaks coincide and are "locked" together. the result is a reinforced wave in increased amplitude (brightness).

    4. The position of a wave in its oscillation cycle.

    5. One of the basic services provided by the architect as part of the professional services agreement between the architect and owner; divided into the following phases: schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding (negotiation), and construction contract administration.

    6. A stage or period of development  if the cancer is diagnosed in its early phase, the chances of complete cure are much greater.

    11. A segment of a logical tree structure, representing a folder and any folders that it contains.

    12. An element of workflow logic that defines an alternative condition and action or additional steps, in cases when the criteria in a condition element are not met. a logical ‘else-if-then’ statement in a workflow.

    13. In reference to a package, to upgrade an existing sequenced application package and run it side-by-side with the original sequenced application package.

    14. To allow a collection of files to evolve in two or more divergent paths.

    15. An operation in a foreign country incorporated in the home country.

    16. A branch is a particular office or a place of work that is part of a bigger network. it is usual, for example, to describe a bank or a big retail organisation as having ‘branches all over the country’, or ‘branches in all major cities’.
