  1. Unit of retinal illuminance equal to that produced by a surface whose luminance is 1 cd·m–2 when the pupil measures 1 mm2.

  2. Unit of retinal illuminance equal to that produced by a surface whose luminance is 1 cd/m2 when the pupil measures 1 mm2. unit is convenient as a method for correcting photometric measurements of luminance values impinging on the human eye by scaling them by the pupil size. tungsten inert gas (tig) welding: see welding, gas tungsten arc. u ultraviolet radiation (uv): electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths between 40 and 400 nm. see also irradiance; uv-a.

Троланд, русский

Illuminance, английский
  1. The amount of light, which falls onto a given surface area. measured in lux.

  2. The light density, or luminous flux per unit area, incident on a surface.

  3. The density of luminous power, also called “illumination.” one lumen of luminous flux, uniformly incident on 1 square foot of area, produces an illuminance of 1 footcandle; in si units, one lumen of luminous flux, uniformly incident on 1 square meter of area, produces an illuminance of 1 lux.

  4. Освещ

  5. Intensity of radiant energy (density of luminous flux) on a surface, in the visible light spectrum. illuminance is measured in lux.

  6. Intensity of visible light per unit area (density of luminous flux) on a surface. illuminance is measured in lumens per square meter (lm/m2) or lux. compare luminance.

  7. Intensity of radiant energy in the visible light spectrum. illuminance is measured in footcandles or lux.

Convenient, английский

Photometric, английский

Ultraviolet, английский
  1. Electromagnetic radiation at wavelengths shorter than the violet end of visible light

  2. Ultraviolet. the electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths shorter than about 400 nm and not visible to the human eye.

  3. Ультрафиолетовый

  4. Invisible electromagnetic radiation defined between 100 and 380nm.

  5. The part of the electromagnetic spectrum that falls just below visible violet. ultraviolet (uv) coating – a coating that blocks out uv radiation up to 380+ nanometers.

  6. Electromagnetic radiation in the wavelength range of 4 to 400 nanometers.

Electromagnetic, английский

Irradiance, английский
  1. The density of the luminous flux which is incident on a surface.

  2. Интенсивность излучения

  3. The direct, diffuse, and reflected solar radiation that strikes a surface. usually expressed in kilowatts per square meter. irradiance multiplied by time equals insolation.

  4. The direct, diffuse, and reflected solar radiation that strikes a surface. usually

  5. Power of electromagnetic radiant energy incident on or radiated from the surface of a given unit area. compare radiance.

  6. Radiant power falling upon a known surface area at a given angle. compare radiance. see also radiometer. ishiharatm plates: trade name for a kind of pseudoisochromatic plates, used for color differentiation vision testing.

  7. Total radiant power, in watts per square meter (w/m2), falling upon a known surface area at a given angle.

  8. Total radiant power, in watts per square meter (w/m2), falling on a known surface area at a given angle. compare radiance. see also radiometer. irradiance, effective: measure of spectrally weighted radiant power in watts per meter-squared, as determined with a sensor whose responsivity replicates some desired action spectrum. compare irradiance; irradiance, spectral. irradiance, spectral: measure of energy emitted by a radiation source as function of wavelength. units of spectral irradiance are watts per square meter per nanometer (w·m–2·nm–1) and are often plotted versus wavelength. see also spectral power distribution. ishihara plate: trade name for a kind of pseudoisochromatic plate used for color differentiation vision testing.

  9. Radiant power falling upon a known surface area at a given angle. in nondestructive testing, the unit for irradiance of a uv-a source is microwatt per centimeter squared (?w·cm–2) and maximum irradiance occurs when the source and surface are perpendicular.

  10. Radiometer. j

Tubing string, английский
  1. Pipe with which oil or gas has contact as it is brought to the earth’s surface.4 tungsten inert gas (tig) welding: see gas tungsten arc welding. u

  2. Pipe with which oil or gas has contact as it is brought to the earth’s surface.4 u

Test object, английский
  1. Physical part or specimen subject to nondestructive testing.

  2. Hollow, ring shaped specimen, typically made of 01 tool steel, containing artificial subsurface drilled through-hole discontinuities. the ring is used to compare the daily performance of a wet horizontal test unit or to evaluate the sensitivity of dry powders when magnetized using three-phase full-wave rectified current.
