- (концентратор). основная задача концентраторов состоит в соединении множества кабельных сегментов в центральной точке. с помощью концентратора реализуется топология сети типа "звезда". суть заключается в том, что шина сети реализуется внутри концентратора. подключение абонентов к сети производится посредством кабельного соединения узла с одним из портов концентратора. простейший концентратор просто соединяет между собой все порты. при этом получаемая система принципиально аналогична шинной. отправляемые пакеты так же поступают на все подключенные к концентратору узлы.
